"Character weaknesses …. that seem deeply entrenched in our personalities and countless addictions- these behaviors appear to rob us of our agency. They keep us floundering in sin and darkness. They keep us from reaching out to God. They keep us from becoming free- able to choose salvation. In other words, when we keep doing the same thing over and over, we will continue to get the same result. Drinking from a contamination well will always give us stomach and intestinal problems. The key is to recognise that the well is dirty and contaminated, stop drinking from it, and then dig a new well."
