"Speaking on 2 Corinthians 5: 18-19] 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. “Honestly, this is to me one of the most freeing descriptions of what the Saviour’s mission was for that I have seen in scripture. I love how it clearly says He is not coming to impute your trespasses unto you. Jesus is not a judge passing judgment on every wrong thing you have done. He is not an accountant tallying all your transgressions. He is not a police officer or parole officer keeping an eye out to see when you are going to slip. No, that is not what He came for. WHY did He come? To reconcile us to God. He came as a coach to help us get better at the game. He came as a mentor to show us how to develop in all the areas where we need development. He came as someone, back to the Karate Kid analogy, he came as Mr. Miyagi by waxing on and waxing off how to develop righteous reflexes, so our wills will be reconciled to His. Jesus came as a different kind of Savior. He came with the Spirit breathing life, not the letter executing death.”"
