"“The Atonement of Jesus Christ is at the heart of our message!” President M. Russell Ballard explained to the women of the Church. “It is our core value. It is our doctrinal center. It is the heart and soul of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “If you have not yet felt the truth and power of the Savior’s Atonement in your life, I invite you to refocus on the central message of the Restoration—a message declaring that we can be ‘made perfect through Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, who wrought out this perfect atonement through the shedding of his own blood’ (Doctrine and Covenants 76:69). Sisters [and brothers], please do whatever is necessary to stay focused on the simple and central message of the Restoration. Accept it. Understand it. Embrace it. Love it. Share it. Defend it.”15 Hold on! With faith in our Lord and His power, hope for the highest of eternal rewards hereafter, and a love of God and His children (see 2 Nephi 31:20), we’re going to make it."
