"So is sin bad? Yes, it is. But is being able to sin good? Yes, it is. If we were not able to sin we would not be able to repent, and therefore would not be able to become more like God. There would be no salvation for us without the ability to sin. It is the combination of sin and Christ’s atoning sacrifice that makes our change for the better possible. We should always sorrow for our sinful state. We should always seek to repent and be better. But without the ability to sin, the ability to make our choices freely, and without constraints, we would not be able to make the changes necessary to become godly."
